You’ve got questions. We've got answers.

  • What is the standard turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 7-10 business days for in-house testing and 10-15 business days for outsourced testing.

  • What testing can be rushed?

Only in-house testing can be rushed. Analyses like nutritional testing (protein, carbs, sodium, fats, fiber), metals and minerals, and gluten CANNOT be rushed, and are subjected to our standard 10-15 business day turnaround time. However, it may be possible to provide partial results at rush turnaround; speak with BDAS for more information on this.

  • What are your rush fees?

Rush requests for in-house tests, when possible, are marked up 1.5x and turned around in 2 working days. Normal turnaround for in-house testing is 7–10 working days. Rush service isn’t available for outsourced testing. Re-issued forms if requested on a rush basis will also be subject to the priority fees.

  • What are the consulting and retainer fees?

Hourly rates start at $150. Travel, reasonable accommodation expenses and certain meals are also paid by the client. For expensive projects/legal work, a retainer fee may be required.

  • Do you require non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements?

Both can be entered as required – on legal, formulation and project cases. We can provide agreement forms or use yours. Legal cases will require a retainer fee and this will be outlined in any agreement documents.

  • Do you require a sample submission form?

Yes! A sample submission form must accompany all samples before we can begin work. There are no exceptions. Ensure samples are listed exactly as you wish them to be named on the reports, together with batch codes if required. In event of error 404 on the online form, we do have a PDF which we can email to you.

  • How should shipping samples be labeled?

All shipments should be marked “Samples for Analysis Only – Not for Human Consumption.”

  • How are reports issued?

We now issue reports electronically via PDF’s. These are attached to the emailed invoice unless otherwise requested. Up to three e-mail addresses can be specified for invoices and reports. Provide details on the sample submission form. Your accounts department can receive a copy. Otherwise it is your responsibility to ensure they receive a copy of the invoice to ensure prompt payment. If you require hard copies, please indicate on the Sample Submission Form. Single copies will be mailed if required using normal mailing times. Rush mailing may carry extra costs to offset expenses.

  • Do you provide extra and notarized reports?

Multiple signed copies of reports are available for $20.00/additional copy*. Reissued reports (for reasons beyond any fault of ours) will also be charged at $20.00 each. Note: For any reissued/renamed reports on previously tested samples we can only back-reference data by one calendar year. Any form can be notarized upon request.

  • What are your payment terms?

BDAS, LLC accepts credit card payments or checks. Each invoice carries a unique link enabling online payments after service. First time clients requesting services valued at more than $1000 are required to prepay half (50%) on their first order request subject to credit approval. [Check or prepay link options available.] Our terms are net 15 days: from your receipt of the emailed report of your results and invoice. Late fees accrue after 15 days. Failed payments (following discussions) may lead to suspension of further services until resolved. It is important for you to indicate billing contact/address details on the sample submission form provided with your samples to ensure timely delivery of our invoices for payment within our net term period.
